Please read all instructions thoroughly, if you have consigned with us before the toy sale procedures are different!

*We will be accepting clothing but they must qualify for the following:
All clothing must be Holiday themed (ie. Christmas Tree Sweater or shirt), or
Dress clothes that you would consider "Sunday's Best" (ie. Dressy Dresses, Dress Slacks, Button Up Shirts etc.) Please be prepared we will be VERY stringent on clothes that we will accept.
We will accept Winter Outerwear to include Coats,Mittens, Gloves, Hats and Stockings.

Toys
Please check all your toys to make sure they WORK and WORK properly! Many people will purchase these toys for Christmas Gifts. We are offering this sale to provide the community with a way to make money to use toward their Christmas purchases AND provide some great deals to save parents money during these economic hard times. A broken toy will only disappoint a child and their parents. If a broken toy is returned during the sale we will deduct the cost from your check and the toy may not be returned.

OK, now it's time to get started!

1. PREPARE your items - Gather all those toys, holiday decorations and holiday outfits (all outfits MUST be holiday outfits only!) All toys MUST be clean, have all parts, and well taken care of. All toys MUST WORK properly! If the toy is in great shape and works but a non-critical piece is missing it must be noted on the tag (this may be hand written in).

3. GATHER AND ORGANIZE the items you are selling. The more organized you are, the quicker Drop Off will be! Your items will be required to be in order if you want every item guaranteed and we will ask you to lay your items out to be inspected. We may ask to see that all toys are working so please be prepared to put in batteries (we will have a testing station set up) or have batteries already installed.

  • Dolls (with clothes on, no naked babies please)
  • Books (infant, toddler, preschool, early reader, chapter books, please no happy meal books)
  • CDs, Videos, Computer CDs, DVDs (Please only bring commercially created videos and cassette tapes - homemade versions will not be accepted.)
  • Games and Puzzles (all pieces included please)
  • If you bag an item, you will tape the tag to the inside of the bag -- do not leave it loose in the bag.
  • Do not tape over the bar code on the tag.
  • Please package games and toys securely -- rubber-band boxes closed if necessary. Place parts in secured plastic bag.

    All toys must be clean and in working order. Small parts must be bagged and attached to the main part very securely. If parts get separated it will not sell. Games should be taped closed. Puzzles, books, videos and small toys should be grouped accordingly and put in Ziploc bags. Secure with clear packing tape tag to the Ziploc bag. It is also good to write your consignor number and info on the Ziploc bag with a Sharpee in case the tag comes off. Puzzles should be wrapped securely in clear Saran wrap to keep the pieces intact. We do not accept plush animals (stuffed animals), they do not sell unless they are battery operated like Tickle Me! Elmo.

    TOYS NOT PACKAGED APPROPRIATELY WILL BE TURNED AWAY. When tagging large toys it is best to also attach a piece of masking tape to the toy with your consignor information. This will enable us to sell your toy even if the tag comes off!

    4. COMPUTER ENTRY Its fast, fun and easy! After gathering your items click the Register Now quick link on the home page and you will be on your way.

    5. DROP OFF - If you did not print your barcode tags yourself, we will have your barcode tags printed out and you can attach them to your tags quickly and accurately before you leave. Please allow 30 minutes to an hour for Drop Off.

    6. PICK UP DAY - Pick Up your unsold items and your CHECK$ Monday, Nov. 23rd from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. If you do not pick up your items your check will be mailed. ALL ITEMS LEFT AFTER PICK UP WILL BE DONATED TO CHARITY, SINCE WE HAVE TO BE OUT OF THE FACILITY.

    Preparing Your Items -

    Please bring only items that meet the guidelines stated above. Items must be good quality, clean, in style and in working condition with all pieces included (unless otherwise marked).

    Any and all clothing must be Holiday Attire or "Dressy Dress". On the outfits you'd have your children's pictures taken in.

    When in doubt… leave it out. If you don’t feel good about an item or feel that it is something you wouldn't purchase then do not put it in the sale. The quality of our sale is important to all of us.  The minimum sale price is $2.50.

    Please don’t be offended if we ask you to take back some of your items. We will be screening items very closely so as to maintain the quality of this sale. It is often easy to miss a spot or tear when you are getting your items ready at home. We want to be known for having the best quality merchandise and we want you as a purchaser to have confidence that you are buying the best at Mommy’s Secret.   

    Attaching the Tag (Clothing)
    Attach the tag to the upper right corner of the garment with a safety pin.  This will allow you to record the item number on each tag- this makes putting your labels on quick and easy.  NO straight pens - they HURT! and will fall out.  Secure tags to toys and other items securely with tape.  If the tags fall off and we are unable to match them back to your item, we can not sell them. Make sure not to damage the barcode.  

    Hanging your Items - Items MUST be hung on size appropritate hangers, small hangers are available at most Dollar Stores.  Clothing must be on hangers with the hook of the hanger facing left like a question mark. Two-piece outfits should have the bottom half attached to the back of the item pinned on at the shoulders. Never hide the second half under the first. Matching accessories should be attached to the front of the garment.

    We will ONLY accept DRESS shoes in EXCELLENT condition at this sale.

    Toys -
    Large toys should have the tag attached with clear tape in a conspicuous place. Small toys or toys with lots of pieces should be sold in Ziploc bags with the top taped shut with packing tape (Masking/Desk tape does not hold). All stuffed toys must be in MINT- Like New condition!.  There is a minimum on all toys of $2.50 (approx. $10 retail).  You may group smaller items for one price BUT no Happy Meal or Grab Bag Toys.

    Half Price Sale
    When you enter your items in our system you will have the opportunity to mark your item to be included in the Half Price Sale on Sunday.

    Pickup of unsold items
    Unsold items must be picked up during the specified time.  ALL ITEMS NOT PICKED UP WILL BE DONATED TO A LOCAL CHARITY OR SCHOOL . 

    Donated Items
    After entering your items in our inventory system you will have the option to mark all items for donation, no donation or specify certain items for donation.  All items marked for donation are not guaranteed.  We pull all donation items prior to sorting.
